Advertising, affiliate links and analytics

The Atlas does not display ads, participate in affiliate-link programs, or load Google AdSense, Google Analytics, marketing pixels or similar tracking scripts.

Technical delivery data

Hosting and security providers may process limited technical information—such as IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, timestamps and diagnostic or security events—to deliver and protect the site.

Information sent to the Atlas

The correction form stores the report, its receipt and review status, any Atlas record reference, supporting public links, and any optional name or reply address you choose to provide. This information is used only to evaluate and document the editorial report; submissions never change an Atlas record automatically.

Do not submit secret, initiatory, community-restricted, medical, precise sensitive-location or unnecessary identifying information.

Spam protection

The correction form uses a self-hosted computational verification, a hidden bot trap and request limits. It does not load a third-party CAPTCHA, set a CAPTCHA cookie or use the check for advertising or audience profiling. A keyed hash of the network address may be stored in an expiring abuse-prevention bucket and removed during later maintenance; the raw address is not stored with the correction.

Storage, access and retention

Correction submissions are stored in a private review queue available only to an authorized Atlas reviewer. Submissions may be retained as an editorial record while they are evaluated or documented; suspected spam may be removed, and optional contact details may be redacted when they are no longer needed. A privacy or deletion request can be submitted through the same form.

Cookies and local storage

The Atlas does not intentionally set advertising, analytics or correction-form cookies. Essential technologies may be used by hosting or security providers for delivery, protection and reviewer sign-in.

Records link to independent third-party sources. Those sites operate under their own privacy practices, which the Atlas does not control.

Changes to this notice

This notice will be updated if the Atlas’s data practices change.

The linked creator profile, @KJB_and_AYARA, identifies the people who created and maintain the Atlas. Privacy, rights and correction concerns should still be submitted through the Contact and Corrections form; the social profile is not the official corrections channel.
